Dear AMS families,

As we look forward to the 2009-2010 school year, the planning for PTSO has already begun. Welcome to AMS PTSO!
As you know, PTSO sponsors many programs that benefit our students, families, and teachers throughout the school year, but none of these programs can happen without your support or commitment. On behalf of our board I would like to invite each and every one of you to become a member of AMS PTSO. As a member of the PTSO, you will be able to stay in touch with other middle school parents, find out important information about what is happening at AMS. There is no better way to stay involved with your student’s middle school experience.
Research shows that a child performs better in school when his or her parents are involved in school. There are so many ways to be involved, such as volunteering in the classroom, participating in school events, or taking a leadership position. This year's PTSO has already given funds for the school's athletics program, started a campus beautification campaign, and is working towards giving the school a fresh coat of paint!

We are raising money in an effort to improve classrooms, and to help with the purchase and service of the few remaining A/C units. None of this can be accomplished without you, keep in mind we are all volunteers and have the same goal: to make AMS the best school ever! As the school year continues and on behalf of the AMS PTSO board we look forward to meeting each and every one of you and volunteering our time together.
                                                                                                           Sincerely,
                                                                                                           Kelli Sybrowsky
